In my creating space this week...

I've been working on my strip quilt this week, it's very time consuming but very therapeutic as well.  I'm loving the colours!

It's just a little messy in here...

I also have some lovely Batiks picked up at a local quilt exhibition recently...

  1. I've often admired strip quits but am yet to make one. I had wondered why not sew straight onto squares of white fabric instead of paper. White fabric isn't very expensive and it would add durability and strength and be less mess/time consuming. I did a little research and found that originally strip quilts were sewn onto squares of old bed sheets for exactly the reasons i had thought out. If ever I make one I plan to sew straight onto some Kona white.
